Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer
Dr. Tran is one of the founding members of the National Board of Medication Therapy Management (NBMTM). At the end of 2017, he has been named Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for NBMTM. Dr. Tran has worked closely with the Board of Directors to provide the vision, strategic direction, and operational oversight for the development and implementation of information technology initiatives that align with the mission of NBMTM. He maintains overall accountability for information systems and technology, including leadership of strategic planning, policies, and programs related to the credentialing and certification requirements.
Dr. Tran is a key contributor to formulating NBMTM’s overall strategic business objectives and oversees all aspects of operations as well as providing implementation support for new initiatives.
Dr. Tran most recently served as Director of Information Technology Services (ITS) at St. John Leonardi Foundation (SJLF), where he was responsible for the implementation and support of all clinical and financial applications utilized to support SJLF programs. As Director of ITS, Dr. Tran guided a number of projects to enhance the systems of SJLF.
Dr. Tran’s professional experience also includes roles with Osceola Regional Medical Center in Kissimmee, FL and PharMerica in Largo, FL. Prior to becoming a pharmacist, Dr. Tran, a native French speaker, had several roles at BNP Paribas, a French international banking group.
Dr. Tran received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Nova Southeastern University and his Master degree in Genomics Informatics and Mathematics for Health Environment from Paris-Saclay University.
