Carol Nguyen, PharmD, BCMTMS, is a board member for the National Board of Medication Therapy Management.
Based on Dr. Nguyen’s professional experiences, she provides practical insight for NBMTM. She reiterates the importance of patient focus and real-world approach. She assists the board in assessing examination content and necessity. She serves on the board’s Certification Appeals Committee and Recertification Committee.
Currently, she is a clinical outpatient pharmacist at the Bexar County Hospital (also known as University Health System). Previous positions were held at United HealthGroup – WellMed, Walmart, WellStar Regional Medical Center, XperienceTR, and Publix. Throughout her professional experiences, she performed MTM services, including comprehensive medication reviews and medication reconciliations.
Carol earned her doctorate in pharmacy at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She currently holds a board certification in medication therapy management.
