Livia McCutcheon, PharmD, MA, is the Secretary for the National Board of Medication Therapy Management.

Dr. McCutcheon has nine years of experience working in academia. Previously, she was an assistant professor at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where she taught in patient assessment, case studies II, and pharmacotherapy/integumentary courses, in addition to precepting pharmacy students and maintaining a practice site in an ambulatory care/correctional managed health care setting.

She was also an assistant professor at Wilkes University School of Pharmacy, where she taught self-care and dermatology, longitudinal care labs, and pharmacy care labs, in addition to precepting pharmacy students and maintaining a practice site in an ambulatory care/family medicine setting.

Currently, Dr. McCutcheon is an ambulatory care clinical pharmacist at Star Community Health Family Practice/St. Luke’s Family Medicine Residency. She works under a collaborative practice agreement as part of the interprofessional team (physicians, physician assistants, medical residents and medical students, nurses, medical assistants, psychologists, social workers, care managers, financial advisors, and clerical staff). In her practice, she focuses on addressing polypharmacy in the geriatric population, diabetes management, chronic care management, and medication therapy management. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She completed her pharmacy practice residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Additionally, she earned an Instructional Design and Evaluation Fellowship at the University of Maryland with a focus on ambulatory care and pharmacy education and a Masters of Arts in Instructional Systems Development from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in Baltimore, MD.

Her professional interests include medication therapy management, interprofessional practice and education, instructional design, family medicine, and ambulatory care.
